Though the Lord is high, yet he has respect to every lowly, humbled sinner; but the proud and unbelieving will be banished far from his blissful presence. Divine consolations have enough in them to revive us, even when we walk in the midst of troubles.

And God will save his own people that they may be revived by the Holy Spirit, the Giver of life and holiness.

If we give to God the glory of his mercy, we may take to ourselves the comfort. This confidence will not do away, but quicken prayer.

Whatever good there is in us, it is God works in us both to will and to do. The Lord will perfect the salvation of every true believer, and he will never forsake those whom he has created anew in Christ Jesus unto good works.

Prayers for CJ

Tonight as I was visiting my usual regular blog "reads" I was touched by a post on Valerie's blog. Valerie posted yesterday about a young woman who has gone to court in a custody battle over the son she has raised from birth and now is facing the possibility that he may be taken from her and from the home he knows and from his family. I can't even imagine how difficult that must be - waiting for someone who doesn't know you or your child, but is making a decision that could change your lives forever! You can read Valerie's post here.

Please read Valerie's post for today here and visit the link she includes to see a video of this young man with his sisters and his mom. It's a touching tribute to the love they share. Valerie's friend, CJ, is a friend who is in need of prayer right now and I am joining in the prayer chain asking God to lead the judge in this case so that he will make the right decision for this young boy's future! I also encourage anyone who reads this post to visit these links and see if you are moved to pray for this family, too.
